Deep Dive #2: Prayer, Embodiment and Transformation

The first ‘Deep Dive’ with Eliana Light explored moving from liturgy to prayer through words and melody. In this second ‘Deep Dive’, we will continue that journey by delving into the wisdom of our bodies and movement to enrich and personalize prayer experiences. As Jews, movement has always been a part of how we pray: we bow, we bend, we listen, we lift our hands, we rise, we take steps, and some of us even shimmer like the flame of a candle. Join us as we continue to explore gratitude by using our bodies to connect all of who we are with community, world, and creation. All ages and abilities are welcome (even if you didn’t attend the first session in November). Wearing comfortable, casual and ‘easy to move in’ clothing is encouraged.

Co-sponsored by Mayim Rabim and Shir Tikvah; Masks required
