ShulCloud

We are delighted to announce that Shir Tikvah has launched a new membership portal called ShulCloud. This technology upgrade represents a significant step forward for our shul, aligning us with modern administrative tools while preserving our sense of community.

In phase one of our launch of ShulCloud, you have been emailed access to log into your new ShulCloud account. There, you are be able to:

  1. Manage and update individual and family profiles including contact details, occupation, birthdays, anniversaries, and yahrzeits

  2. Securely provide and store credit card information using the (integrated PCI compliant payment) gateway

  3. View transaction history through November, set up recurring payments, pay pledges and program balances, print tax documents, and make donations

Looking ahead, in phase two of our launch in spring of 2024, we plan to harness its capabilities to launch our member directory and facilitate program registrations.

Shir Tikvah ShulCloud FAQ

Q: What is ShulCloud?

A: ShulCloud is an online "synagogue management software". It has been meticulously designed to cater to the unique requirements of synagogues and their members, encompassing account management, bill payment, record updates, membership directory, and more.

Q: How do I get started with Shulcloud for the first time?

A: You will receive an email containing instructions for logging in and creating or updating your profile. We strongly encourage you to complete this initial step as it will enhance the efficiency of financial transactions and communication.

Q: What should I do if I haven't received the email inviting me to create my profile?

A: Please use the ShulCloud support form to submit a request for account access.

Q: I forgot my password, what should I do?

A: On the login screen, you'll find a "forgot password" button. Clicking on it will trigger an email with instructions to set a new password. If you don't receive the email, check your spam or junk folders. If the issue persists, use the ShulCloud support form, and we'll assist you.

Q: Can I update my personal information on ShulCloud?

A: Absolutely. Once logged in, you'll encounter the following options under "Account Information":

  • "My Profile" – Edit various tabs with information about yourself.

  • "My Family" – Modify or add information about your immediate family members.

  • "My Yahrzeits" – Add or update yahrzeits.

  • "Edit my Address" – Update your address details.

Q: Can I make donations or payments through ShulCloud?

A: Yes, ShulCloud offers the functionality to make your annual pledge, designate donations or payments, and manage payments from your account. Under "Financial Details," you'll find tiles related to payments:

  • "Member Pledge" for making your annual pledge.

  • "Donate" for making donations.

  • "My Transactions" to review past payments.

  • "My Payment Methods" for updating credit card or bank account ACH.

  • "Pay My Bill" to view and pay outstanding bills.

Q: Who can access my information?

A: Your financial information is viewable only by you and authorized Shir Tikvah administrative staff. We are actively working on launching a private online Member Directory, which will provide basic member information, with consent, solely to Shir Tikvah members. Each member will have control over the information visible in the directory through the "Edit My Directory" tile within your ShulCloud account.

Q: Can I pay my annual pledge using my ShulCloud account?

A: Certainly, you can review and pay your pledge through the "Financial Details" section in your account.

Q: Is my credit card information secure?

A: Yes, your personal and financial information is safeguarded. ShulCloud does not retain credit card information and employs SSL (Secure Sockets Layer) encryption for all payment transactions.

Q: Can I change my credit card on file or add a new one?

A: Yes, you have the flexibility to add an additional credit card to your saved payment methods at any time.

Q: What if I prefer not to make payments online?

A: You may continue to mail checks or set up automatic withdrawals from your account via ACH. Please send checks to Shir Tikvah at 1360 West Minnehaha Parkway, Minneapolis, MN 55419 or drop them off in the box outside of our main office, and email Jess at jessica@shirtikvahmn.org to set up an ACH payment.

Q: How can I check my account balance?

A: Log in and click on the "My Transactions" tile under "Financial Information" to view your account balance. Keep in mind that payments made by cash, check, or other payment processors will be delayed in appearing in your account, as they are manually entered by our team.

Q: What is not changing?

A: ShulCloud’s launch will not affect our current website, emails, or virtual service access.

Q: Can non-members use ShulCloud?

A: Non-members will have the ability to make donations and, in the future, register for events and classes.

Q: What if I still need assistance?

A: We greatly appreciate your patience as we transition to this new software. Our team is here to assist you in navigating the system. If you have any questions or are in need of help, please use the ShulCloud support form and a staff member will be in touch soon!
