As we enter this sacred high holy days season, our hope is that every person who walks through our doors experiences shelter. Whether this is your first High Holy Day with us or your 39th, whether you come carrying certainty or questions, celebration or heartbreak, may you find yourself welcomed into a community spacious enough to hold it all.
וּפְרוֹשׂ עָלֵינוּ סֻכַּת שְׁלוֹמֶךָ | Ufros aleinu sukkat shlomekha
May the shelter we pray for also be the shelter we build together.
We will be gathering in person at St. Joan of Arc, via livestream, and on Zoom for High Holy Day services.
All services are free, non-ticketed, and open to everyone without registration or membership requirements. Learn more below.

We invite you to enjoy these recordings of music and poetry by members of the Shir Tikvah choir to deepen and grow your High Holy Days practice.
Make a gIFT
At Shir Tikvah, we believe our High Holy Days should be open to all — no tickets, no membership requirements, no barriers. Together, we create a community where every voice is welcome, every prayer is heard, and every heart is held.
Bringing our services to life, whether in the sanctuary or online, takes months of preparation, staff time, music, technology, materials, printing, prayer books, gnosh, and countless hours of care. Annually, it is one of the biggest undertakings of our shul. This year, we need to raise $85,000 so that we can offer the meaningful and inclusive High Holy Days experience our community deserves.
We invite you, and implore you, to be a part of making it possible. Your contribution helps us open our doors wide and meet this sacred season with strength and love. Give today, and help launch Shir Tikvah into an abundant and generous 5786.
$100: Supplies fidgets for our quiet sensory room
$500: Provides large print texts for one service
$2,500: Funds our break fast meal for 200 people
$5,000: Supports our online services for an average of 500 attendees
$10,000: Secures our location at St. Joan of Arc + vendors (sound and tech, security)
Yizkor Memorials
We remember loved ones of blessed memory during Yizkor, sharing names and images of loved ones who have died in years' past.
We remember loved ones of blessed memory during Yizkor, sharing names and images of loved ones who have died in years' past. Again, this year, we will:
1. Create a printed Yizkor Memorial Booklet listing the names of our loved ones, which will be available during the Yizkor service 5787 and throughout the year. Only names will be listed in this booklet.
2. Share our communal Yizkor slideshow with images, names, and relationships of loved ones during the service. Everyone included in the slideshow will also have their name printed in the booklet.
For submitting photos and names:
If you've previously submitted a photo, you do not need to send it again.
