Over the past three years, a team of Shir Tikvah-niks have come together to form a Chevra Kadisha, a group of volunteers who perform tarharot, the preparation of bodies after death.  If you are curious to deepen your knowledge of Jewish burial practices and/or join Shir Tikvah’s Chevra Kadisha, this workshop is for you.  The session will move through a simulated taharah, giving hands-on expereince of performing this mitzvah.
