Location: in person in Shir Tikvah’s library
On Pesach, or Passover, we retell an ancient story about oppression and a journey toward liberation. Like any story about our ancestors, it’s also about how we understand ourselves. How do we relate to Passover when we’re living in a time of war and political violence? While we witness destruction in Gaza, and war waged by the US and Israel, what does a seder mean to us? Come to a conversation for people who are hosting a seder and wrestling with these questions. This space for open discussion will be lightly facilitated by two members of Shir Tikvah’s Israel/Palestine committee. You’re invited to reflect on what’s coming up for you as you plan your seder. Feel welcome to bring ideas about approaches and resources that you’re finding helpful.
