On Monday, December 23, 6 pm at Shir Tikvah we are having a pre-Hanukkah potluck dinner with other Shir Tikvah LGBTQ+/Queer Elders. Hanukkah in Hebrew means dedication and commemorates the Maccabees reconsecration of the Temple in Jerusalem in 164 B.C.E. Given Hanukkah is about rededication, we’ll take some time to speak about what or who we choose to (re)commit ourselves to this year. Come ready to share dedications as we enjoy our nosh and celebrate together.
