Neila Jam with R' Arielle

During Neilah, the last service of Yom Kippur, after a day of singing and praying, we gather in front of the open ark to pour our hearts out. Our community is devout about Neilah - we sing loudly, we call out with full and breaking hearts, we put our all into the project of praying for forgiveness and transformation.

This year, we’re excited to offer Neilah Jam - a three-part musical workshop series on the liturgy and music of Neilah. You’re invited to join Rabbi Arielle and community musicians to learn more about the practice of Neilah and to develop your skills as a leader of communal prayer. When Neilah rolls around this year, on October 2nd, we hope you’ll join us up on the bima (or nearby!) singing loudly, oriented to the prayerful journey we undertake, and ready for what’s to come.

You can sign up for any and all of our Elul programs here in one form.
