Join the Sanctuary and Immigrant Justice Committee to hear how Shir Tikvah housed an immigrant family of seven for over three years.  Learn about the global refugee crisis and current efforts in the Twin Cities to support and advocate for refugees and immigrants. Get involved in Shir Tikvah's immigrant justice activities throughout the year.

Guest Speakers include a representative of Advocates for Human Rights on the political context for why refugees leave their home countries, and Micah Sherwin, Volunteer Facilitator for Refugee Services for Lutheran Social Services of MN, on the culture shock, transition, and needs of new arrivals.

We’ll discuss ways for Shir Tikvah members to get involved! Masks encouraged.
