Pre-Pesach Shabbat Dinner for Trans People & Their Families

Shabbat is a joyful respite, a shelter from intense and busy weeks. Shabbat dinner can be part of the gateway into Shabbat’s holiness - a space to relax, make new connections, and share our love for one another. Join us for a special Shabbat dinner for trans people & their families on Friday April 11th before Shabbat services. We’ll center trans joy and nourishment and eat, get to know each other, and welcome one another into Shabbat. We invite people to arrive between 5:00 and 5:30 and we'll begin eating together at 5:30. Shabbat services start at 6:30. This gathering is for you, your family members, and your kiddos. All trans people and their family members are welcome! We’ll provide dinner, Shabbat ritual, and a space to connect and be together.

We’ll eat together in the oneg hall with multiple air purifiers running. If you don’t feel comfortable eating inside with other people, you are still welcome to join masked and take a shabbat dinner portion home with you.

Please register here before April 8th, so we can be sure there is enough food! If you have any questions please don’t hesitate to reach out to Jayce at jayce@shirtikvahmn.org

We need volunteer support to make this meal happen! You can sign up here to help cook or clean up - all materials, needs, and information will be supplied!
