Queer/LGBTQIA+ Intergenerational Potluck

Celebrate Sukkot with an intergenerational conversation about LGBTQ+/Queer Jews’ experiences and learn from each other about what being LGBTQ+/Queer has meant as we journey toward our collective liberation.

We will be gathering in the Shir Tikvah Sukkah for food and celebration with LGBTQ+/Queer Shir Tikvah-ities of all ages. Dress for the elements. In case of inclement weather we will gather inside.

Sukkot is also known as the "Festival of Ingathering." There is an ancient kabbalistic practice of inviting honored ancestors as ushpizin or guests to the festive meal in the sukkah. Come ready to share who you would like to welcome into the Sukkah who had an influence on your LGBTQ+/Queer journey.  As a reminder, these gatherings are open to all members of the Shir Tikvah community.
