On July 23rd at 6:00 PM we will move towards the close of Tisha B'av with a service near the Whipple building. We will make space for our grief alongside our call to action and transformation in our community. Mixing words and songs both traditional and new, we'll connect with the historic weight of Eicha (Lamentations) and link our grief and activism to the tears and power of our ancestors. We'll close our service by ritually moving from a place of lament to action, mirroring the traditional shift from sitting low to the ground as if in a house of mourning, to sitting and standing back up.
If you are planning to join alongside our partners throughout the Twin Cities please register. Only people who are registered will receive the specific location and important logistical information. Even if you are unsure if you will make it, registering allows us to keep you in the loop. If you have any questions about either program, please send them to Rabbi Jayce.
