Simchat Torah

  • Shir Tikvah 1360 West Minnehaha Parkway Minneapolis, MN, 55419 United States (map)

We conclude our High Holy Days with Simchat Torah, our final celebration of the season. A new year means a new cycle of Torah, and it is time to reroll Shir Tikvah’s three scrolls.

Simchat Torah is a festive, musical parade of joy: Dance with our Torot. Unroll the scroll and display all of Torah across our sanctuary. Bear witness to the final words of D’varim and the first words of B’reishit. Then reroll back to the beginning as we parade once more and return our Torah scrolls back to the ark.

Simchat Torah is family-friendly and all are invited to gather, though young families are encouraged to join during the earlier program. Simchat Torah takes place indoors at Shir Tikvah. The location is accessible. All materials are provided.

Outgoing B’Mitzvah Tutors, Steve Greenberg and Gayle Zoffer, will be honored during Simchat Torah for their years of service. Please join us in celebrating their commitment to Shir Tikvah’s B’Mitzvah students.
