Are you new to Jewish practice and eager to learn the basics? Have you been coming to Shir Tikvah forever and worried that you don’t know enough? In this occasional series, we’ll confront our “not knowing” with cookies and conversation before Friday night services. During this time, we'll talk through the structure of the Friday night service and answer anonymous questions about any element of Jewish life. Submit your question(s) about Judaism here. Your questions could be technical (“what’s the deal with bowing during services?”), philosophical (“do Jews need to ‘believe’ in God?), or anything in between.
